A desperate man invests in an artificially intelligent android after the death of his wife. Mired in loneliness he begins a relationship with the android who quickly becomes a source of comfort and support for him. But as he yearns for more and pushes the limits of artificial sentience, the gentle android grows into something far more frightening.
