Ulysses arrives in the unassuming town of Normal, Minnesota, to temporarily take up the position of sheriff. Expecting a break from his personal problems, the new sheriff suddenly finds himself investigating a bank robbery gone wrong. As his inquiry deepens, he uncovers a larger conspiracy that runs through the town of Normal and beyond.
