In a small Australian town, two teenage boys find solace and support in each other. But their romance is rejected by the community, who subject both boys to an intense and violent cleansing ritual trying to rid them of their desires. As they emerge from this experience, a vicious supernatural entity attacks them both, taking the form of the other boy, disturbingly confusing danger and desire.
