Despite the passing years, Charlie Fineman is still grieving the loss of his family in the 9/11 attacks and has become a shadow of his former self. By chance one day he bumps into his old college roommate Alan Johnson, who is surprised to see the once-sociable Charlie now haggard and despondent. The pair reconnect and their friendship becomes the catalyst for Charlie to face the darkness of his past.
