Gillian and Sally Owens are part of a family of witches living with a curse, whereby any person they fall in love with is doomed to die. While they have tried to avoid magic for most of their lives, the death of Gillian’s cruel boyfriend compels them to examine and learn the magic they possess. They must use it to confront the family curse and avoid the suspicion of the police officer investigating the case.
